Refund policy
This policy explains how returns, exchanges and refunds are handled for BlackOwl GPS hardware, accessories and related purchases.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
We accept returns for eligible non-defective products within 14 days of delivery.
To be eligible, the product must be new, unused, unopened, in its original packaging and in a resellable condition.
Non-defective returns include general return requests such as ordering the wrong item or no longer requiring the product.
Non-defective returns are accepted by mail only.
A 25% restocking fee applies to approved non-defective returns. The restocking fee is calculated from the product price.
Customers are responsible for arranging and paying for the return label and return shipping costs for non-defective returns.
We accept returns for defective products in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law and our 24 month warranty period from the date of purchase.
If you believe a product is faulty or defective, please contact us with your order details and a description of the issue.
Once we receive and inspect the returned product, we will notify you of the outcome.
If the product is confirmed to be faulty, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law. This may include repair, replacement, exchange or refund depending on the issue and the applicable legal requirements.
The 25% restocking fee does not apply to products confirmed to be faulty.

A return may be refused or a refund may be reduced where a product is used, opened, damaged, missing parts, not in original packaging, not in resellable condition or returned outside the eligible return window.

We accept exchanges for eligible products.
For non-defective products, exchange requests must be made within 14 days of delivery and the product must be new, unused, unopened, in original packaging and in a resellable condition.
For defective products, exchanges are available within the 24 month warranty period where replacement or exchange is the appropriate remedy.
Customers are responsible for arranging and paying return shipping costs for non-defective exchanges.
Please contact us before sending anything back so we can confirm the correct return or exchange process.
If your order has not yet been shipped, you may request a cancellation by contacting us as soon as possible.
Approved cancellations before shipping will be refunded to the original payment method, minus a 25% restocking fee calculated from the product price.
Once an order has been shipped, it must be handled as a return under this policy.
Clearance items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged for change of mind unless required by law.
If a clearance item is defective, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law still apply.
Returns are accepted by mail.

Please do not send products back before contacting us. Once your return request has been reviewed, we will provide return instructions.
Return labels are the customer’s responsibility for non-defective returns and non-defective exchanges.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs for non-defective returns and non-defective exchanges. These costs are non-refundable.
If a refund is issued, any applicable original shipping costs, return shipping costs or approved restocking fees may be deducted from the refund amount.
We recommend using a tracked shipping method or purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee receipt of your returned product.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you whether the return has been approved.
If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 7 days.
Your bank, card provider or payment provider may take additional time to make the funds available in your account.
Shipping costs are non-refundable unless required by law.
